Piazza in Batumi
Georgia, Batumi

One of the most beautiful squares in Georgia is the square that has already become a symbol of Batumi - Piazza. It occupies 5700 square meters and is distinguished by its artistic murals and extraordinary examples of mosaic and stained glass art.
The construction of Piazza Square was completed in 2010 as part of a program for the restoration of historical areas and the tourist infrastructure of old Batumi. The main architect is Vazha Orbeladze, the author of the stained-glass windows is Estonian craftsman Dolores Hoffmann. Piazza is a center for cultural and entertainment events, concerts, official receptions, a place of popular restaurants, bars and cafes. Also in the main building of the square, a high clock tower, there is an original design hotel.
Piazza is undoubtedly one of the best new attractions in the city. Almost all tourists who come to Batumi visit it. Such world-famous musicians as Placido Domingo, Chris Botti, Sting, Meisi Gray, Michel Legrand and Tamara Gverdtsiteli performed on this square.
