Shute Bok National Park
Curacao, Willamstad

The Schete Boca National Park is located in the north-east of the island of Curacao, covers an area of about 200 hectares, stretching along the rocky coastline of the coast with a length of 10 km. The park was founded in 1994, adjoins the largest natural park on the island - Kritoffel National Park. The Schete Boka National Park is also called the Seven Bays Park, although in fact there are ten bays on its territory. The most famous of them is Boka Tabla. Sea waves crash with a crash on a rocky shore, the sound of the surf is amplified many times in the underground cave of the bay. Those who wish can get into the cave along the steps carved into the rock (if there is a warning sign about danger, you can’t go down to the cave), and thrill-seekers can sit on the edge of a cliff and watch the surf. In Boka Wandomi Bay, waves carved an oval shape inside the rock, giving it some resemblance to Juliana's automobile bridge in Willemstad. At the edge of the bay there is a platform equipped with which you can admire beautiful views and take excellent photographs as a keepsake. Boka Kalki Cove gives the deceptive impression of being the most calm on the coast, however, during high tides the waves crash ashore with great force. In the bay of Boka Pistol there is a narrow hole in the middle of the rock, during the surf, it “shoots” a stream of water with great force, which resembles a huge water gun. On the small beaches of the park, three species of sea turtles nest. The park has several pedestrian and car tourist routes with visits to bays and walks along limestone cliffs and hills formed by cooled volcanic lava.
