La Ronde is a major amusement park located on Saint Helen's Island in Montreal. It first opened in 1967 as part of the Universal and International Exhibition of Montreal, also known as Expo 67. The park is owned by the City of Montreal and is operated under a lease agreement by Six Flags. Covering 146 acres, it is the second-largest amusement park in Canada. La Ronde features over 40 rides and attractions, including 10 roller coasters. Among its notable roller coasters are Goliath, a hypercoaster with a 170-foot drop, and Le Monstre, a large wooden racing coaster. The park is also known for hosting L'International des Feux Loto-Québec, one of the world's largest fireworks competitions, which takes place annually during the summer months. The park operates on a seasonal schedule, typically from May to October.
