Great place at the beginning of the path to the Boiling Lake. This tiny waterfall is located in a small canyon (in Creole, “ti tu” means “neck”). Nearby is a geothermal spring, a suitable place to relax before a difficult trip to the Boiling Lake. The nearest town is Lauda. This is a small village, spread out on the slopes of three mountains - Morne Watt, Morne Mikotrin (Morne Macaque) and Morne Trois Python. Only 300 people live in Lauda. Sometimes it is called the "gate", because it is the only settlement on the way to the main attractions of Dominica (Boiling Lake, Freshwater Lake, Ti Tu Gorj, etc.). Since the settlement is located at an altitude of 400 m above sea level, the climate here is cooler. It offers a magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea. Lauda is a 20-minute drive from Dominica's capital, Roseau.
