The beach strip is 300 meters from Fort Kachukru and next to the Scotts Head Village. The village was founded in the 18th century and named after a British general.
Scotts Head is located on the south coast of Soufriere Bay. Distinctive features of the beach: dark volcanic sand, clear blue sea with many underwater waterfalls.
