The museum, for the most part, is ethnographic. Various household items (in particular, clay and copper utensils), agricultural implements, a loom, weapons, documentaries, clothing, musical instruments, etc. are exhibited here. There is a small numismatic collection. The museum is also interesting for the samples of heraldry exhibited here (from 1870 to the present day).
Also in the museum are paintings, embroideries, documentary materials related to the history of the village of Kviahidzeebi and the Maretsky Gorge from 1900 to the 80s of the 20th century.
The museum was opened on September 2, 1998, participates in the educational program "Cultural Tourism and Museum".
