Jianfenglin Jungle National Park is a forest park located on Hainan Island, with tropical trees and plants that are several thousand years old. This is one of the rare places where you can meet plants that appeared on the earth many thousands of years ago and see trees that are hundreds of years old. In the park there are unique plants, various rare species of ferns, a large number of various animals, birds, butterflies live. Here you can find a leopard or crested gibbon, which is a very rare species and is endemic to the island. Rare peacocks, hawks, herons, partridges and many other bird species are found among the birds in the park. The park covers the territory from the coast to the majestic mountains, at the foot of which are the cleanest lakes. In 2005, the Jianfeng Jungle received the title "The Most Beautiful Forest" according to the China National Geography Magazine. The territory of this national park covers an area of 430 thousand square kilometers. The pride of the Jianfeng Jungle is Mount Jianfenglin, which is one of the highest in Hainan and has a height of 1,420 meters. About 4,300 species of wildlife are found in the park, including 215 species of birds and 449 species of butterflies, and up to 28 thousand species of various plants grow. The central valley of the park is surrounded by mountains on all sides, as a result of which a unique microclimate with high humidity formed in the center of the valley. Spectacular mountain waterfalls are magnificent in this forest park. Jianfenglin Jungle Park is one of the oldest and most original tropical national parks in China, and is also known as the Chinese Amazon Park. Here, a relict tropical forest has been preserved, where there are places where a human foot has not stepped. The Jianfeng Jungle is one of the largest ecological reserves in China.
