Muradymovskaya Cave 1, also known as Pigeon Grotto, is a karst cave located within the Muradymovskoye Gorge in the Republic of Bashkortostan. It forms part of the Muradymovsky Nature Park, a protected area established to preserve the unique natural landscapes and geological formations of the Southern Urals. The cave is developed in limestone and features a single entrance leading to a system of galleries and halls. The internal microclimate of the cave is stable, maintaining a constant low temperature throughout the year. The grotto is a significant geological and speleological site, noted for its secondary calcite formations and as a habitat for colonies of bats, which are protected species. The surrounding park area is characterized by mixed forests and the canyon of the Bolshoy Ik River, contributing to a region of high ecological value. The cave is accessible for guided visits as part of regulated ecological tourism, with a focus on minimizing human impact on the fragile underground ecosystem.
