At Murchison Falls, the Nile River flows through a narrow gorge, and falls from a height of forty meters. In the eastern sector of the park, directly in front of the Murchison Falls, are Karum Falls, where the Nile cascades along breathtaking twenty-three kilometer rapids. These rapids are Africa’s most exciting rafting opportunities. A trip up the Nile to the waterfalls is an unforgettable experience. On the shores you can observe a variety of representatives of the animal world: elephant, crocodile, hippo, lion, giraffe, buffalo, and countless antelopes and birds.
