The wooden building of the Church of St. George is located on the road leading from Tver to Staritsa on the Staritsky highway. The construction of the temple began in the second half of the 1990s and in the early 2000s the temple was ready. Over the years since the construction of the Temple, the logs have darkened and now, looking at the temple, it seems that it is quite ancient. The Temple appeared thanks to Father Fedor. The story of its creation is as follows: "In gratitude for the healing of his son, Fyodor Mikhailovich Gribov and his wife, using the funds accumulated for the house, decided to build a chapel in his village Koltalovo, Tver Region. But the confessor Fedor Gribov blessed him to build a chapel with an altar, which resulted in later, on the advice of Archpriest Pavel Sorochinsky and with the blessing of Archpriest Nikolai Vasechko, Fedor Mikhailovich began to prepare for service, to help in the Kazan Church in Vlasyevo, and later in the Intercession Church in Tver. In June 1999, F Dor Mikhailovich was ordained a deacon, and ordained a priest in December. Construction of the church was done on his own. Father Fyodor bought and brought wood to the place with his neighbor. When it was necessary to sand logs, they called for help from high school students from the village school. Five responded, then them it was twenty. Upstairs, the crowns of the future St. George's Church were lifted along the rafters, washing the skin on their hands with blood. The crowns were cut and installed by A. V. Smirnov and his workers. The temple was ready for winter, services began in it, but there was no heating. The first winter about. Fedor took a thermos of hot water to the Liturgy in order to add it to the freezing communion. But in the summer, in prayers of the parishioners, God sent a benefactor who installed a steam boiler in the church.
