The small island of Il O Cerf (Deer Island) is located off the east coast of Mauritius. In ancient times, on this uninhabited island you could meet many deer, hence the name of the island - Deer. Currently, Ile O Cerf is a popular resort famous for its magnificent beaches of white sand, the clear waters of the Indian Ocean, beautiful views and a well-developed tourist infrastructure. The whole island can be bypassed in three hours. Its southwest coast is not suitable for swimming, but if you move to the northern tip of the island, you can find many secluded, almost deserted beaches and picturesque bays. The central part of the island is covered with lush tropical vegetation, there are also small picturesque lakes. In the center of the island is an 18-hole golf course, designed by the famous German golfer Bernhard Langer. The east coast of the Stag Island has luxurious beaches, hotels, restaurants and bars. There are public and private beaches, including the beach of the 5-star Shangri-La's Le Touessrok Resort & Spa. Visitors to the island, in addition to swimming and sunbathing, can engage in water sports - water skiing, surfing, sailing, parasailing, catamaran, kayak or canoeing. Diving enthusiasts have the opportunity to dive off the coast of a coral reef, located next to the Deer Island. You can go on a sea cruise around the island on a yacht or on a real pirate ship.
