The cultural institution "Ushachsky Museum of Popular Glory named after Hero of the Soviet Union V.E. Lobank" was founded in 1968 according to the decree of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPB. The museum opened on November 6, 1970. The second permanent exhibition opened June 29, 1974. By a resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus of March 3, 1999, the museum was named after V.E. Lobank. The museum consists of the main building on Leninsky Street, the branch of the Estate-Museum of Vasil Bykov in the village of Bychki and the memorial complex "Breakthrough". The exposition area of the museum is 332 m2, exhibition - 244 m2, the total number of museum items is 20,377 units, of which the main fund is 14196 units, scientific and auxiliary 6181 units. The head museum has 4 exposition halls covering the history of the partisan movement in Ushachchin during the Great Patriotic War. Partisan art gallery and exhibition hall are also presented here. The museum exposition contains materials on the historical past of Ushachchina, on the revolutionary events of 1917, the civil war, collectivization, repressions of the 30s, the beginning of the partisan movement in the region and the struggle of partisans and the population of the Ushach partisan zone with Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War . It tells about the Heroes of the Soviet Union A.F. Donukalov, F.F. Dubrovsky, V.E. Lobank, P.M. Romanov, I.M. Timchuk, M.A. Yegorov, about the full holder of the Order of Glory A.A. . Klopove. They save: personal weapons of the Hero of the Soviet Union I.Kh. Bagromyan twice, leaflets, documents, personal belongings of the partisans, materials on the defense of the partisan zone during the punitive expeditions of the fascists "Cottbus", "Rainfall", "Spring Festival", on the tragedy of the partisans and the peaceful the population of the zone during the punitive expedition of the Nazis in 1944. The partisan art gallery, resumed in 1978 (artist D. Babkin), which operated in the winter of 1942-1943 at the headquarters of the partisan brigade "Dubova", displays: paintings, drawings, prints, watercolors and satirical anti-fascist posters. The personal belongings of partisan artists N.T. Gutiev, N.I. Obrynby, canvases by V.A. Gromyko are presented. Presented are materials about famous countrymen, famous figures of literature, art and science P. Brovka, V. Bykov, R. Borodulin, G. Gabruk, E. Los, S. Zakonnikov, O. Saltuk, A. Verigo-Darevsky, F. Verenko , A. Boryshnikov, R. Chebotarev, T. Matyushkova and others. The new museum building was built in 1982. On the main facade is the monumental composition "Breakthrough" by the artist Yu.Lyubimov, in the lobby there is a monumental painting on the theme "Fascism Can't Fight", "The Struggle for Life", "Liberation", "Bread of the Earth" and "The Collapse of Fascism" by V. Krivoblotsky. The museum was awarded diplomas of the Culture Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, a diploma of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR, the Soviet Committee of War Veterans. The Ushachsky Museum holds temporary exhibitions of paintings, drawings, arts and crafts, folk crafts of Ushachchina, traditional meetings of former partisans at the Proryv Memorial Complex, seminars and meetings dedicated to the anniversaries of V. Bykov in the estate-museum, diverse work on the study of history is underway the edges.
