The Rombergpark Botanical Garden (Botanischer Garten Rombergpark) is one of the largest and most beautiful botanical gardens in Europe, located in the southern part of Dortmund. Established in 1822 on the grounds of the former Romberg estate, it was originally designed as an English-style landscape park. Covering more than 65 hectares, the garden features a vast array of plants from around the world, including rare trees, shrubs, and flowers. The greenhouses are a highlight, showcasing exotic tropical and subtropical plants. The park is also renowned for its collections of magnolias, azaleas, and rhododendrons. Visitors can enjoy scenic ponds, walking paths, and the historic ruins of the Romberg manor. Open year-round, the garden is a popular spot for relaxation and botanical research.
