The Church of St. Peter (Ev. Stadtkirche Sankt Petri Dortmund) is an impressive Protestant church in the heart of Dortmund, renowned for its soaring Gothic architecture. Built in the 14th century, the church features a 105-meter-high tower, one of the tallest in the city. Inside, the church houses the famous Golden Antependium, crafted in the 14th century, which is considered a masterpiece of medieval art. The interior combines austere Gothic aesthetics with elements from later restorations. The church suffered heavy damage during World War II but was restored and reopened to both worshippers and visitors. Today, it hosts regular services and musical concerts, remaining a vital part of the city's religious and cultural life.
