Located on a cliff above the ocean, Love Park is the most romantic place in Lima. A small cozy park, chosen by local couples - a must-see in any tourist program. Love Park is located in the popular area of Lima - Miraflores, the modern center of the city, where there are many bars, discos and hotels.
The main attraction of the park is the sculpture "Kiss", the authorship of the famous Peruvian artist Victor Dolphin. The sculpture depicts lovers merged in a passionate kiss, and although usually such frank statues are not installed in cities, this place is an exception. The area around the monument is surrounded by a mosaic wave-shaped wall on which quotes about the love of famous poets and writers are laid out, as well as the names of immortal lovers.
In recent years, a tradition has appeared in Lima - after the wedding, young couples come to this park. And every year, on Valentine's Day, February 14, a large number of couples gather here, who arrange competitions for the longest kiss. It is noteworthy that the monument was erected on Valentine's Day - the day of all lovers - February 14, 1993.
