Gorky Park is the central park of the capital with attendance of more than 20,000 people on weekdays and 100,000 on weekends and holidays. Since 2011, the park has set new standards, becoming the first world-class park in Russia, a space for recreation, sports, dancing and outdoor games. Free admission, Wi-fi coverage, new zones created in the spirit of the most modern design trends, a well-thought-out program of events and attention to people - all this turned Gorky Park into the epicenter of the capital's life, making it one of the main points of attraction for both youth and for an older, family audience.
It was founded in 1928, the territory is 119 hectares. The name of M. Gorky was given to the park in 1932. The main architect of the Central Park of Culture and Art, who at the end of the 20s of the XX century planned the ground floor of the park - from the entrance to the Neskuchny Garden, was the avant-garde architect K. S. Melnikov. Today Neskuchny Garden and the Vorobyovy Gory Nature Reserve are part of Gorky Park.
