Mount Kailash
Tibet,

Mount Kailash (Kailash) in Tibet is a majestic and sacred mountain that occupies a special place in the spiritual and cultural life of many peoples and religions. Located at an altitude of 6,638 meters in the western part of the Tibetan plateau, Mount Kailash has a pyramidal shape with clearly defined slopes and sparkling glaciers, which gives it a special mystical and majestic atmosphere.

Kailas is revered as a sacred mountain immediately in four world religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Bon. For Hindus, it is the abode of the god Shiva, where he remains in eternal meditation. In Buddhism, Kailash is considered the home of the deity Chakrasamvara, and also symbolizes the mythical Mount Meru, the center of the world and the axis of the Universe. In Jainism, Mount Kailash is associated with the first Tirthankar Rishabhanatha, and for followers of the Bon religion it symbolizes the shrine from where life originated.

The pilgrimage to Mount Kailash is considered one of the most important spiritual rituals for believers. The main part of the pilgrimage is the kora - the sacred circumambulation of the mountain. This circuit, approximately 52 kilometers long, is considered an act of purification and release of karma. Devotees from different countries, including India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and others, make this journey on foot, often making enormous sacrifices to perform this ritual. Pilgrims believe that one circumambulation around the mountain cleanses one from the sins of a lifetime, and 108 circumambulations grant liberation from cycles of rebirth.

The mountain itself is surrounded by two sacred lakes - Manasarovar and Rakshas Tal, which also have great religious significance. meaning. Lake Manasarovar, located south of Kailash, symbolizes purity and spiritual enlightenment, and is considered a sacred place for ritual ablutions.

Mount Kailash remains inaccessible and climbing is prohibited out of respect for its sacred status. It is believed that no one can or should climb to the top, since this place belongs to the gods. Therefore, unlike many other high mountains, Kailash Peak remains untouched by man.

Mount Kailash and its surrounding landscapes not only amaze with their natural beauty, but also create a deep sense of tranquility and awe of the greatness of nature . This place where spirituality and nature meet attracts those seeking enlightenment, inner peace or simply wanting to experience the atmosphere of one of the most mysterious and sacred places on Earth.
