Cape Kolka
Latvia, Kolka

Cape Kolka is the most pronounced cape on the Latvian coast, and it is here that the waves of two seas collide - the open Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Riga. Liv Coast

Old Liv fishing villages , including Kolka (Kuolka), are located on the banks of Kurzeme from Melnsils to Luzna. The Livs or Livonians are a small, westernmost group of Finno-Ugric peoples living on the Baltic Sea. The spirit of the Livs permeates everything in this part of Latvia - from the speech of local residents to the culture, traditions and tenacity of those who have lived by the sea for many centuries. The small fishing villages on the shores of Kurzeme have boat docks, chain warehouses, old buildings (dating back to the 18th century) and exhibitions of traditional and antique items, as well as many accommodation options for rural tourists.
