Cesvaine Castle
Latvia, Cesvaine

Cesvaina Palace is one of the largest and most beautiful castle-style palaces in Latvia in the 19th century. Cesvaina Hunting Castle is a striking example of eclecticism, combining elements of Gothic, Romanesque and Art Nouveau styles. Built by the wealthy von Wulf family in 1896, it followed the trend of copying German and British palace architecture, especially borrowing the Tudor style.

Nationalized in the 20th century and long used as a school, now most The Cesvaina Palace is open to the public; its authentic interiors have been preserved to this day.
