Latgale Zoological Garden is a small municipal zoological garden, an institution financed by the Daugavpils City Council, the purpose of which is environmental education and education of children and adults in their communication with animals. The zoo is located near the city center.

Here, in the artificial jungle, spotted pythons crawl, caimans bask on the shore, red koi carp swim in the pond, frisky macaques and marsupial sugar possums jump on vines, and many other tropical animals swim, whistle, prowl, jump and fly. Children can also pet a fluffy bunny, play with cute guinea pigs and feed small fish swimming in the jungle pond.
