Ungurmuiza Manor

The Ungurmuiža manor complex is a unique ensemble of wooden architecture from the 18th century, the center of which is the only surviving wooden manor house from the Baroque era in Latvia.


Today the Ungurmuiža complex has a guest house and a museum, which makes it An ideal place for relaxation and entertainment, seminars and private events. Visitors can enjoy the special atmosphere of the manor by strolling through the park under the huge oak trees, attending an exhibition or concert, or sipping tea in the Tea House.


The main manor house was built in 1732 by Baron von Ungern as a family home, and it remains the only wooden Baroque building of this period in Latvia.


The elegant interior paintings of the building are also perfectly preserved.


In the Ungurmuiza manor park there is another unique and a rare 18th-century architectural feature - a park pavilion built in 1753. The pavilion is also called the Tea House; it was restored between 1974 and 1978.


The special atmosphere of Ungurmuiza can appeal to everyone. Here you can go for a romantic walk, organize a party or just have a nice time with your family.
