St. John's Church

Not far from Cesis Castle is the Church of St. John, which was built at the end of the 13th century and at the time it was the largest church in the Vidzeme region. Even today, after several renovations, the church retains its powerful and impressive appearance. You should visit the church to see the tombstones of the masters of the Livonian Order and listen to the sounds of the organ that fill not only the church, but also its surroundings.
