“Jatika Namal Uyana” is the largest sodium forest and rose quartz mountain in Asia. Namal Uyana, impressive and attractive for its exceptional natural depths, has a history dating back more than a thousand years. According to archaeologists, the rose quartz in this historical site has a history of more than 550 million years. This unique place "Jathika Namal Uyana" is located 7 km from the Madatugama junction of the Colombo - Anuradhapura highway towards the road leading to Adiyagala in Galkiriyagama, Sri Lanka.
