Luxembourg Square
Belgium, Brussels

Place Luxembourg, nicknamed Place Lux, is under the close scrutiny of the European Parliament. It is an after-work destination for employees, assistants, parliamentarians and lobbyists who work in and around the European Quarter. This square takes its name from the Brussels-Luxembourg train station, the old building of which stands on one side (the current station can be reached through the adjacent street). The square is especially colorful in the late afternoon and evening, especially on Thursdays, when the terraces and cafes are literally taken over by active, multilingual European youth. The cosmopolitan character of the area is obvious and you can enjoy a variety of European cuisine in and around the square, with Italian, Polish and Luxembourgish restaurants... You can practically take a tour of Europe here.
