In 2004, the Batumi State Musical Center was created in Batumi, combining the Batumi State Chapel, the ballet corpses of the Batumi Opera and the State Ballet Theater, and a children's and youth music center. In 2007 (Decree No. 95 of December 26, 2007 of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara), a reorganization was carried out in the Batumi State Music Center, after which an opera studio was added to the music center. In 2011, the building of the Batumi State Musical Center was reconstructed. The architecture of the building belongs to Vakhtang Khmaladze. The third floor of the building is an exhibition space, a place where it will be possible to conduct jazz concerts. The opening of the renovated building was specially premiered by the new play “Keto and Kote”. The performance according to the opera version of Viktor Dolidze and the film music of Archil Kereselidze in a new arrangement was presented by Nick Memanishvili.
