Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church is a significant historical and religious landmark in Wrocław, Poland. The church is dedicated to Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, a 13th-century princess renowned for her charity and piety. The original Gothic church on this site was constructed in the 14th century, with the first mention of a parish dating back to 1257. Throughout its history, the building has served different Christian denominations, reflecting the region's complex religious shifts. For a long period, it was the main parish church for the Lutheran community in the city. A major fire in 1976 caused extensive damage to the structure, particularly its roof and interior. Following a comprehensive restoration, the church was re-consecrated in 1997 and returned to the Roman Catholic community, now functioning as a garrison church. A prominent feature of the church is its tall tower, which for centuries has offered a panoramic view of Wrocław's Old Town to visitors. The church is situated in a central location on the market square, making it a focal point of the city's urban landscape.
