The Hansel and Gretel Houses, known in Polish as Kamieniczki "Jaś i Małgosia", are two historic buildings located in Wrocław's Old Town, connected by a distinctive baroque archway. These structures form part of the architectural ensemble surrounding St. Elizabeth's Church and date back to the 18th century. The houses were constructed on the site of former medieval cemetery walls and served as residences for church personnel. The name "Hansel and Gretel" was given due to their fairytale-like appearance and proximity, resembling the famous brother and sister from the Grimm Brothers' tale. The buildings survived the extensive destruction of Wrocław during World War II and have been carefully preserved as examples of historic urban architecture.
