In one of the stations of the Libavo-Romny railway under construction, passing through the wooded and swampy area of the Wittgenstein estate, was Osipovichi station. It was a small intermediate station located 273 versts from the Vileisk station. A wooden station, a warehouse, an indoor and outdoor platform and five wooden houses for staff were built at the station. The station was located in a 2-story wooden house at the end of the platform from Minsk. The single-track lines Osipovichi-Vereitsa and Osipovichi-Tatarka adjoined the station. The first engine whistle sounded over the city of Osipovichi in September 1873. In 1952, a new station building was erected, which made it possible to improve the service of both local and transit passengers. To ensure the safe passage of passengers and residents of the city through the tracks in the station area in 1953, a pedestrian bridge was built. In 2003, overhaul of the station and the adjacent territory was completed. Osipovichi Station is a class 3 station. The station complex includes: a passenger building, luggage compartment, toilet, apron, three island platforms, three pedestrian crossings, one pedestrian bridge. There are 33 sofas for 99 seats in the waiting room of the station, another 20 benches are located on the platform. The lounge is equipped with a TV. In the building of the station there are 4 main ticket offices and one additional during peak hours. All ticket offices are equipped with Integral BPM ticket printing machines and the Express system. For payment of travel documents using plastic cards at the ticket office, 4 payment terminals are installed. To visually inform passengers on the platform, 2 electronic information boards and information signs are installed. On average, 2624 passengers depart from the Osipovichi station station per day, of which 2333 passengers in suburban traffic, 291 passengers in domestic and international traffic.
The station provides the following services:
• issuing travel documents, pre-ordering train tickets by phone and at a passenger’s personal appearance, followed by issuing at the booking office by booking, accepting group requests, reissuing a ticket on the day the train leaves for regional, interregional and international lines;
• issuing a refund for an unused ticket or transportation document for baggage, selling subscription tickets, ordering a ticket through the global computer network Internet on the website of the Belarusian Railway (www.rw.by), issuing travel documents at the East-West fare, booking a ticket ;
• use of the services of a reference center, announcements by loud-speaking communication of a station, a porter carrying carry-on luggage or baggage from a car (to a car) within the forecourt area and using luggage trolleys, preliminary reception of baggage, cargo luggage;
• storage of baggage, cargo luggage of individuals, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs; storage of bulky items and items not related to hand luggage; storage of forgotten and found things; storage of hand luggage in a stationary storage room; forced opening of an automatic left-luggage office at the request of the owner;
• loading, unloading baggage and cargo luggage for vehicles; packing of baggage and cargo luggage, applying shipping marks; providing an application form, tags; notification of the recipient of the arrival of baggage and cargo luggage (by phone, mail, telegraph)
• control weighing of hand luggage in case of a conflict with the train crew; the use of a luggage trolley for the delivery of cargo luggage.
