Significantly changed the life of the Krichev railway. The first working train arrived at the station in 1921. To serve passengers and accommodate personnel, a “G” -shaped passenger building with a total area of 307.45 square meters was built from slag concrete. The building housed: a waiting room for 95 passengers, cash desks, a buffet, a kitchen, information desk, accounting bureau, station duty officer, station manager, pantry, station office. The station area was not covered. In 1929, a luggage shed and a left-luggage office were built. During the Great Patriotic War, the station building was destroyed. In 1950, a new brick building of the railway station was built with a total area of 512 square meters. In it were: a waiting room for passengers, an office of the head of the station, an information bureau, a first-aid post, a buffet, ticket offices and premises for police officers. In 2010, a major overhaul of the station of Krichev station was carried out. On average, 25 thousand passengers depart from Krichev station every month, of which 1 thousand are in domestic and international traffic, and 24 thousand in suburban traffic. Inside the passenger building of the station there are 3 ticket offices equipped with the Express system and Integral BPM ticket printing machines. For payment of travel documents using plastic cards, a payment terminal is installed at the ticket office. For passengers in the waiting room 16 sofas with 53 seats were installed, another 22 benches are located on the platform.
Today Krichev station offers passengers the following types of services:
• issuing travel documents for trains of regional business class lines, interregional and international connections, issuing travel documents for travel from another station in international traffic, pre-ordering railway tickets by phone and at a passenger’s personal appearance, followed by issuing at the booking office by booking, group applications;
• re-issuance of a ticket on the day the train leaves for trains of regional business-class lines, inter-regional and international lines;
• execution of a refund for an unused ticket or transportation document for baggage (cargo luggage) in inter-regional communication or in communication with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Baltic countries, as well as in communication with other states;
• sale of subscription tickets: “day off”, “working day”, “bearer”, “ten-day subscription bearer”, “nominal preferential”;
• ordering a ticket through the global computer network Internet on the website of the Belarusian Railway (www.rw.by) using bank plastic cards in inter-regional communication and international communication;
• ticket reservation; use of the services of a reference and information center, announcements by loud-speaking communication of a station at the request of citizens, enterprises;
• storage of forgotten and found things, storage of hand luggage in a stationary storage room, provision of places for advertising at the railway station.
