Founded in 1927, the Honolulu Art Museum is the largest in the Hawaiian Islands. The area of the museum is 8,094 square meters. The museum exhibits the largest private collections and internationally recognized collections, numbering more than 50,000 works and spanning a period of 5000 years. Here are such famous exhibits as Annalis, White Tulips and Anemones, Composition in Black, Lady Mox and Water Lilies. In addition, movies are played here and concert programs, lectures, and art master classes are held. The Art Museum is home to The Doris Duke Theater.
