The railway station Yanov-Polessky is located on the Brest-Pinsk line. This station is the railway hub of the city of Ivanovo (the center of the Ivanovo district of the Brest region), which is located 132 kilometers from Brest, on the Samarovka river. The railway station Yanov-Polessky Polessky Railways was created. Highways were being built at the same time. In the 1890s, the highway Yanov - Zhabinka - Fedkovichi with a length of 59 versts. Roads gave a powerful impetus to economic development. In 1897, 3041 residents lived in the town, a cloth factory, an oil mill, a tannery and a brick factory, 5 mills, a public school and a parish school worked, a wooden church and a stone church operated. A large railway junction is located in Yanov. During the First World War, from 1915 to 1918, German troops were stationed in Yanov, a camp for Russian prisoners of war was operating. According to the Riga Treaty of 1921, it was transferred to Poland and belonged to the Pinsky district of the Polessky Voivodeship. In the Soviet period, the place was renamed Ivanovo and assigned the status of an urban-type settlement, but the railway station is still called Yanov-Polessky. Since 1921 it is part of Poland, since 1939 in the BSSR. Since 1940 - the center of the district. After 1945, five regional centers lost their railway connections: Braslav, Rossony, Novogrudok, Lyuban, Pruzhany, Lelchitsy, and the cities of Ivanovo (Yanov-Polessky station) and Gantsevichi ceased to be railway junctions. In 1971, Ivanovo acquired the status of a city, the roads were paved, and street lighting appeared. New businesses are emerging. Residential areas for land reclamators and new factory workers are being built. A new train station has been built.
