Pavilion No. 34 “Space”, located on Industry Square at VDNKh, is one of the most impressive structures of the exhibition complex. It takes its origins from the mid-20th century, when the rapid progress of science and technology inspired society to undertake grandiose projects. Initially, the pavilion was dedicated to mechanization and industrial achievements, but after the stunning successes of the Soviet space program, its themes shifted towards rocket science, cosmonautics and exploration of near-Earth space.
The monumental dome, which became the hallmark of the pavilion, emphasizes the scale and the audacity of the plans of the architects of the era. On the outside it is decorated with elements symbolizing striving forward and conquering new horizons, and inside the spacious exhibition space is filled with exhibits telling about the stages of development of the space industry. Here you can see models of spaceships, satellites and rockets, trace the path from the first space flights to modern orbital stations and even look into the future of manned missions to distant planets.
Thanks to the unique atmosphere of Pavilion No. 34 “Space” » Visitors can feel the excitement that once gripped people around the world during the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite and the flight of Yuri Gagarin. The place is imbued with a spirit of scientific enthusiasm and pride in engineering achievements, and interactive zones and multimedia exhibitions make a journey into the history of astronautics especially exciting for guests of all ages. The pavilion continues to inspire a new generation of researchers and remind us that any dream, even the wildest, can turn into reality with sufficient persistence and faith in progress.
