Wrecks: Spanish Galleon "La Victoria"
British Virgin Islands, Anegada

Around the British Virgin Islands there are many romantic stories about pirates and smugglers. Many ships of the 17-18th century are still at the bottom and are slowly overgrown with corals. Among them is the Spanish ship La Victoria, which sank in 1738. This warship actually carried treasures, which became the cause of the attack of the corsairs. The raid was so well planned that the pirates managed to almost completely empty the ship. All that remains at the bottom is numerous cannons and ship guns, anchors, scattered kernels and the skeleton of a ship that slowly grows into the reef. This is a very interesting and unusual place for diving, where you can explore the ledges of the decks and sides of the ship, look into the crevices that inhabit the marine inhabitants. The depth of immersion in the crash site of "La Victoria" is from 4 to 14 meters.
