Trujillo is a city in northern Honduras, on the coast of the Caribbean Sea, at the foot of the mountains of Kalentura and Capira. This small city played a significant role not only in the history of Central America, but also in the fate of the entire planet. It was near Trujillo that on August 14, 1502, a Columbus squadron landed, the first to set foot on American soil. Native American music and dancing still fill the life of these areas with meaning. Trujillo is a place of excellent beaches and marine entertainments, not crowded with crowds of noisy tourists who gather here only in May, during the annual festival. In Trujillo, it is possible to organize excursions to hot springs and a crocodile farm.
