- Walking route along the southern side of Teteriv
This route is ideal for walks in the fresh air with magnificent views, natural beauty and interesting objects. The right side of Teteriv in Zhitomir enchants with its atmosphere and allows you to look at the iconic places of the city from a new perspective.
Start of the route: Suspension Bridge
Start your walk from the suspension bridge over Teteriv - one of the most recognizable symbols of Zhytomyr. The bridge offers impressive views of the river, cliffs and lush greenery.
River Trail
After the bridge, continue along the river. The trail meanders through wooded areas, offering scenic views of Grouse and natural landscapes. Here you can feel the silence and peace that this corner of nature gives. From here you can clearly see the famous rock Head of Chatsky, which is located on the opposite bank. This natural formation with its amazing resemblance to a human profile has become one of the main attractions of the city.
Stop at the observation deck
On the way you will find several natural observation platforms, which offer panoramic views of the river and the other side of Zhitomir. Chatsky's head will seem even more impressive if you look at it from here. Take your camera with you - this place deserves memorable photos.
Completing the route
You can finish the route at the Teterev dam, which is a popular place for fishing and picnics. Here the river seems especially wide and calm. You can linger on the shore to admire the sunset.
Required: comfortable shoes and a thermos with hot tea for a comfortable walk!
