Beachy Head
Great Britain, Eastbourne

To the southwest of the outskirts of Eastbourne is the highest coastal cliff in the UK - Beachy Head. Cretaceous cliffs characteristic of the southern coast of England reach almost one hundred and fifty meters high here. And the highest point of this place is 164 meters above sea level. From Cape Beach Head, chalky steep banks turn northwest and, a couple of kilometers from the cape, form a chain of elevations and lowerings of the coastline, called "Seven Sisters". This spectacular cliff chain is well known for its many photographs in travel advertising publications and on the Internet. The traditional view of this natural monument is from the west, from the high bank in the Seaford area.
