In addition to the famous mineral springs of Loutraki, the clear sea is also very popular with the resort - the resort has won the Blue Flag of Europe more than once for ecological cleanliness, as well as its good location - the city of Loutraki is located on the shores of the Gulf of Corinth, at the foot of Mount Gerania, only 80 km from the Greek capital, and 4 km from the ancient city of Corinth and the famous Corinth Canal, connecting the Aegean Sea with the Ionian and separating the Peloponnese peninsula from the mainland.
For lovers of history, in the immediate vicinity, famous historical monuments - ancient Mycenae and Epidavros with the temple of Asclepius and the ancient theater, the ancient capital of Greece - Nafplion. Directly next to the town are the ruins of the ancient temple of the goddess Hera, as well as the high-mountain salt lake of Vulagmeni, at the bottom of which, according to legend, there is a sunken ancient city. On Mount Gerania, there is an old active monastery of St. Potapius, where tours are also organized.
There are many hotels of various categories from economy class to luxury in Loutraki. It also has a casino - the largest on the Balkan Peninsula.
