Sandarbans National Park
Bangladesh, Khulna

This is the largest mango park in Bangladesh, stretching for 80 km along the coast. Here, not only mango thickets, but also the remains of the once mighty jungle that covered this valley. The territory of the park is 38,500 square kilometers, and it is one third covered with water. Since 1966, there has been a nature reserve in which about 400 royal Bengal tigers and about 30,000 sika deer currently live. The park is a place where families of gypsy fishermen live, fishing with the help of specially trained beavers. In order to see this secluded corner of nature, you need to get permission from the Khulna afforestation. If you have such permission, then you can easily hire a boat from Mongla or Dhangmari to Giron Point, where you better hire a guide to explore the park.
