Dedicated to inspiring people to adore, understand and care for the environment of the islands. Accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, BAMZ exhibits more than 300 species of birds, reptiles and mammals of various ocean islands. Along with an entertaining and educational idea, the organization also has as its goal a program area and activities for the protection of nature and the conduct of research work with the support of the charitable community - the Bermuda Zoological Society.
The aquarium has become home to more than 200 species of fish. There is also a reproduction of a living coral reef with its unique ecosystem from the northern coast of Bermuda.
Visitors also have the opportunity to learn about the unique geology of Bermuda in the interactive historical museum of nature, where, with the help of audio / video demonstrations, the story of the birth of an island that originally existed as an underwater volcano comes to life.
Adults and children are always delighted with the zoo, it includes birds and animals, which are part of an international special program for the protection of rare and endangered animals. The area includes miniature gardens, secluded paths, breathtaking views of the Harrington Sound and specialized areas for children's games.
