The old Church of St. Mina was built in 1859 as a church at the monastery. It has a small underground chapel with a miraculous source. In 1934, a new Church of St. Mine, now a cathedral, was erected in the neighborhood. The old church still remains in place, and in 1986 it underwent a complete reconstruction.
