“The most respectable resort in North America” - in this category, according to the classification of SKI.COM magazine, Deer Valley Resort has been a leader for five consecutive years (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011). In the history of the magazine Deer Valley Resort is the only such "titled" resort. In 2011, the resort received first places in the ratings: “slope training”, “service”, “family programs”, “restaurants on the slopes” and “accommodation in the best hotels”. In addition, Deer Valley Resort has been ranked 2nd among North America's top 10 ski resorts for two consecutive years. According to the results of the Best Ski Resorts of the World World Ski Awards competition in 2013, the Deer Valley Resort took first place in the nomination "The best ski resort in the country and the best ski chalet."
In 2002, the Deer Valley Resort became the venue for several competitions in the framework of the 2002 Winter Olympics, which hosted Salt Lake City (the journey from the city to the resort takes 35 minutes). Three resort tracks: Champion (freesail mogul), Know You Don't (slalom) and White Owl (freestyle acrobatics) were used for the competition. In 2003 and 2011, the resort hosted the World Ski Freestyle Championship.
In total, the resort has 101 tracks. 27% of the runs are “green” (for beginners), 41% are “blue” (intermediate level) and 32% are “black” (for professionals). The longest track has 4.5 km. The ski area is 820 hectares, it includes 6 mountain peaks and 6 bowls, the highest skiing point is 2917 meters, the elevation difference is 914 meters, the number of lifts is 21.
Deer Valley Resort does not accept snowboarders and limits the number of skiers per day.
