Grand Etang Lake
Grenada, Grenada island

Grand Etang Lake is located in the center of Grenada in the Etang National Park. The park is home to some species of monkeys in Grenada and, perhaps, traveling through the park you will accidentally come across these amazing creatures. The lush tropical vegetation surrounding this lake is replete with flowers, trees, bushes and animals, for example, iguanas live here. The lake formed in the crater of an extinct volcano and there is a legend according to which it has no bottom. The lake is surrounded by high mountains, dotted with interesting hiking trails. There are tables and benches suitable for sitting down, relaxing, having a bite to eat and enjoying the beautiful nature around. Grand Etang Lake is a prime example of the fact that Grenada is not only pretty beaches. Getting to the lake is easy, there is only one main road that will lead you “through the hills”.
