Mountain trails rising up and leading down lead to the beautiful Dernier waterfall. The waterfall is located in a gently sloping rocky cave, covered with trees on top like the dome of a church. This quiet and cool place you will not find on most maps of the island. The road to the tiny waterfall from the Gran Fund Village of St. David County is quite steep, but maintained in good condition. Travel time is 30 minutes, the elevation difference is over 300 meters. The best time for a walk to Dernier Falls is morning.
