Labadi Beach
Haiti, Port-au-Prince

A 20-minute drive north of the capital of Haiti is the small Labadi Peninsula, adjacent to the mountain belt, which offers panoramic views of the blue waters of the calm Atlantic Ocean. Labadi has a special charm. In this one place all the best is collected from the shores of the Caribbean Sea, from a fascinating story to a vibrant, colorful palette of arts and crafts.
On the eastern side of the peninsula you will find the world famous Labadi Beach, currently owned by the Royal Caribbean Cruise Company. Walking west of the peninsula, you will reach the village of the same name Labadi, a small fishing village where you can see the neighborhood of traditional Haitian huts and luxury villas.
Labadi Beach is one of the most well-groomed and well-preserved in the country. It is also one of the beaches most visited by foreign tourists. On Mondays and Tuesdays, luxury cruise ships bring thousands of tourists for an all-day holiday on the beautiful sandy beaches or for scuba diving in the Caribbean. A cruise is one of the easiest ways to see Labadi, but not the cheapest.
