Dudhsagar Waterfall

Dudhsagar Falls is located in the Bhagwan Mahavir National Reserve, in the foothills of the Western Ghats.
The waterfall is located about 120 km from Arambol, 100 km from Vagator, 60 km from Panaji, near the border of the state of Karnataka with Goa.
Dudhsagar Waterfall has a height of 310 meters and according to this parameter takes 5th place in India and 227 in the world.
The amazing beauty of one of the highest waterfalls in India will not leave indifferent even the most bored traveler. Bathing in clean and cool streams of mountain water will relieve fatigue and give new vitality. After relaxing at the waterfall, tourists are invited to feel like a great maharaja, taking a ride on the back of a real elephant, and then feed the little monkeys living in the local jungle.
The excursion to the waterfall is quite large, it is designed for the whole day. After the tourists are taken from the hotels, they are brought to the town of Kolem, where they are transferred to jeeps. The road to the Bhagwan Mahavir nature reserve, where the waterfall is located, will take about an hour and a half, after which a transfer to a jeep to overcome several rivers and 8 kilometers of impassability. Visiting the waterfall, you can see the old railway bridge, which was built during the British occupation of India and trains passing through it. The bridge and trains are still used for regular transport from Goa to Karnataka. The picturesque beauty of this place made the trip to Dudhsagar Falls one of the most memorable and interesting tourist routes in Goa.
The waterfall is most active in the rainy season, but at this time it is almost impossible to get to it.
