Round Tower in Copenhagen
Denmark, Copenhagen

The tower was built in the era of Christian VI - the legendary king-builder. On the facade of the tower is a golden emblem, made according to the monarch’s own sketch. Inside the tower is a small observatory, which is still used by amateur astronomers for their intended purpose. You can climb the tower on a ramp with a length of 209 meters. Only twice in history have horses been used to climb the tower: Tsar Peter I mounted the tower and Catherine II in the wagon. Now the tower is allowed to climb not only on foot, but also by bicycle.
