Mermaid
Denmark, Copenhagen

A statue that everyone who comes to Copenhagen wants to see. The little mermaid is a bronze sculpture made in human height. Its author - Edward Ericksen, inspired by the tales of Hans Christian Andersen, discovered the sculpture in 1913. Despite the relatively small size of the statue, the little mermaid has the same meaning for residents of Copenhagen as the Statue of Liberty for New Yorkers.
