Colling Barracks is the new Irish State Museum of Art and Applied Arts, Economic, Social, Political and Military History. The museum was opened in 1984 on the basis of the oldest, preserved in Europe, buildings of military barracks. Built in 1701, the Collins Barracks have their own rich history. The museum itself, located on Clarke Square, has been carefully restored. The museum has a rich collection of antique clothes, furniture and household utensils, folklore items. As well as collections of silver, ceramics and glass.
