The edge of Staircase Hill (Trepimägi) in Viljandi is lined with impressive mansions. The 3-storey Villa Nemwaltz, although not the largest of them, is certainly worthy of attention after a thorough renovation. This is a Heimat-style villa, during the reconstruction of which they tried to preserve the clearly conveyed spirit of the era and style.
This building, designed by the architect Johannes Fuchs, was completed in 1925. Today the house houses the Maaelu Edendamise Foundation (“Rural Life Support Foundation”).

The building can be viewed from the outside.
