Built in the late 19th century, this museum is the largest museum in India. The museum is divided into 6 sectors: art, archeology, anthropology, geology, zoology and botany. It consists of 40 main galleries, where collections of sculptures, paintings, coins and other archaeological finds are exhibited. The art sector comprises more than 10 thousand exhibitions of paintings, clothes and crafts from the peoples of India. The archeology sector is a real treasury for lovers of antiquity - visitors can see collections of ancient coins, ancient sculptures and even the Egyptian mummy in it. In the geological sector is the largest collection of meteorites in Asia.
